    If the scorpion in question is the one in your profile picture its probably ok, they are fairly tough. I second the tongs, my fingers do not go near my scorpions regardless of venom potency

    If it's not a heat lamp it wont be providing anything to speed up the waters evaporation. You need to bring in a fan or use a new bulb.
