The main reason why I'd question it is simply because of where it was purchased. I always find it odd that pet stores would bring in something that pricey unless it was a special order that was paid up front.
dude just needs to stop purchasing more T's and lawn equipment for that new camera set up. I like his stuff but i watch for entertainment...not necessarily for information on how to keep etc, which is almost true for all youtubers in the hobby imo. A select few do give some good sound info though.
While it sounds some what "fun" to try something like this out....I'd have to pass on purchasing anything live in a "mystery box"...go buy an ebay mystery box :banghead:
The love is absolutely real.
oh on a side note, I actually liked @14pokies "honest answer" in regards to the topic. I agree with quite a bit that was said, I hope that doesn't make me an "elitist".:cigar:
Make the purchase....you can ask later...for forgiveness. Tell her you have a sickness that requires you to have more T's. A lot of us are inflicted with the same sickness.
I've been contemplating an M. balfouri communal for a bit but was set off by how much it would cost. In comes Haksilence with an amazing deal for 10, jumped on it right away and picked up a Grammastola sp. "Northern Gold" female as well which netted me an 11th M. balfouri as a freebie. He also...
Kind of hard to avoid imo. Assuming the T doesn't kick at you there's a good chance that it has lined the enclosure with its hair. Just use gloves and wear a long sleeved shirt when doing maintenance with T's that are known to be flicky.
Decided to finally pick myself up an A. chalcodes and after looking around I decided to pick one up from Tom since he also had some scorpions as well. Price was really good and Packaging was excellent. Tom also threw in freebie scorps as well...quite a few actually. Would definitely purchase...
Currently the only thing that came close to being challenging was my N. coloratovillosus juvie. The thing bolted out, jumped onto the table than to the ground and landed right next to my dog that decided to sneak his way in by opening my door. Other than that it's a few threat postures from P...
It took the turn that it would have turned to eventually. I started off reading post by post and was wondering when someone would mention releasing it to do it's duty in the wild and further down there it was. Taking one MM would hardly do any type of damage but I do not think it's wrong that...
The "assumption/advice" has to start off somewhere when you ask questions on a forum. You have neither stated your experience level or anything that relates to how knowledgeable you are in terms of the hobby. Please don't assume we are trying to frustrate you with "noob" answers on purpose.
eh... don't be afraid to ask a vendor questions like that or anything else. Worst thing they can say is no. I just picked up an unsexed juvie a little while ago and it has just settled in. It rejected my pre-made burrow but luckily decided to do it in another corner where it's still visible...
If I remember correctly I've seen some use pvc piping that has been cut or something similar as a "cup/dish holder" that way the pvc is webbed down but the dish is still removable.
