    Roaches completely by themselves?

I don't think it would stunt them too much. I don't think they would socialize well with other roaches after not ever seeing them and they might be a bit more aggressive, but they tend to be resilient to that kind of thing. I recall reading somewhere that interaction with humans can replace...

    Roach allergens

Yup! Roaches are my favorite insects, so I'd hate to be allergic to them. I tend to be fairly resistant to allergens anyway, so hopefully I don't end up allergic to my pets! :(

    Roach allergens

Yeah, I always do anyway. I was just wondering which ones were allergenic.

    Can't touch roaches

I've always loved them because they're so cute and gentle. The bigger ones are honestly better to handle because you're not as worried about them suddenly darting off and being unable to find them. Sounds like you have a phobia.

    Roach allergens

I know pest roaches and hissers have allergens in their poop and exoskeletons, so you need to wash your hands after touching. Does this extend to all roaches?

So many roaches.. Can't choose.. Please help!

If you want a really pretty and huge hisser, G. oblongonota is good. It isn't quite as colorful as a standard hisser, but it has a beautiful red tint and a cool looking white and black underside, and they grow up to 4.25 inches! A. tesselata is also a great roach for handling and it's wider than...

    Giant flat backed millipede?

Different species, but they're somewhat similar. The pede in the OP is a polydesmid, or "flat-backed millipede." I've seen black and yellow flat pedes on Cape Cod Roaches and feather millipedes on Bugs in Cyberspace. They're also easy to find under bark and rocks, but they're usually smaller...

    Subadult vinegaroon feeding schedule?

I found a wild subadult vinegaroon the other day and caught it, its body is about 3 inches long. How often should I feed it crickets/dubias?

What makes this species so fragile?

Sadly, no. I'd love to get some, but they're so hard to get.

    Millipedes communal with hissers

I don't know that hissers would be the best tankmates for millipedes. If the pedes molt on the surface, they could be killed by the hissers, and the substrate in a milli tank should be too wet for hissers to like.

    Archispirostreptus gigas

@ first picture: I have a female milli who does the head curl too. I've never seen males do it, so I wonder why it happens.

    urgent help for school

I know that BugzUK has a good selection of insects that you could keep as pets and do your research on. You could look at whether it's possible to condition mantids to prefer a certain food like cockroaches have been proven to do.
