Which form of T albo do you like more?

Nicaraguan. That's what I used to specialize in - keeping the gene pool on the "pure" side and less of the hobby form or hybrids. My 9+ year old female Mitzy is a nicaraguan and looked like yours a few years ago. She's pretty old-looking and considerably "dusty", but she is also due for a molt...

    150 Trinidad Chevron EWLs

Charlottes first sac. 1 bad egg fused to the inside of the sac, otherwise counted 150 healthy EWLs. Very easy to take the sac, very willing to eat.

    My overkill tarantula incubator

Not as big as it looks in the picture. 7 little vents, holding high humidity. I'm thinking of adding more little vents before I pull the P.cam eggsac. Just an upgraded version of the one I had previously been very successful with for curly hair tarantulas. Thoughts and suggestions are appreciated.

    Urgent Stuck Molt B.Hamorii

I am updating this thread in hopes the specific situation can help others, the tarantula molted the same time as my other red knee of the same size yet this one hasnt fully hardened yet while the other has. Was shipped to me in heavy premolt and was super thirsty. This all happened two days...

    Urgent Stuck Molt B.Hamorii

It was very fresh when i found it, it hadnt dried completely but it wouldn't come off. I spent an hour keeping it moist and watching her try to kick it off but it didnt work. I snipped it this morning so she wasn't dragging a dry molt around. It's about a quarter inch on her spinnerettes, looks...

    Urgent Stuck Molt B.Hamorii

Good news: Molt confirmed female Bad news: The molt is stuck to her bum. Added a drop of water to kind of keep it moist while she tries to kick it off (and she is desperately trying..) Anything more I can do? Im not tugging it, just holding it to show where its stuck. I think its her...

Comment by 'SkittleBunny' in media 'Grammostola Pulchripes (2.5”/3”?? molt) male or female?'

Female. But next time take the picture from inside the molt, otherwise its a ventral guess. In this case, its pretty obviously a female.

B.Hamorii Just Arrived. Gunk around mouth?

This tarantula just arrived today. Captive born and bred B.Hamorii. Arrived with fangs sitting over a poop(deep brown mush?)on the paper towel it was shipped in. It's in heavy premoult as well. It drank neatly two caps of water on arrival. Under the microscope there were no parasites seen in...

It's Never Easy Losing A Male (TW)

It's Never Easy Losing A Male A lot has happened since I was last active on Arachnoboards (a popular forum dedicated to tarantula enthusiasts for those reading from a different forum), but now that I'm back, I've got a lot to share. I went from a 17 year old tarantula hobbyist to a 26 year old...
