Phormictopus Cancerides Not Eating or Molting

So my P Cancerides is allegedly 3-4 years old (says the seller). I've had him for about 5 months and he's always been a great eater, full of energy and very defensive (normal from what I understand). For the past 4 weeks, he just stays in his hide and doesn't eat (or drink that I can tell). Very...

    Grammostola Pulchripes Not Eating

My GP is not eating. I know I'm supposed to leave them alone but I'm concerned and want to see if anyone else has had the same issue. I got it as a sling in September '16. It was a regular eater (1 pinhead roach every 3 days). Very active as it would regularly crawl up the side of the enclosure...

The most defensive tarantula you've had

My Phormictopus Cancerides male is very defensive and offensive. He's punched through a drinking straw before. Not a pet for handling.:chicken:

Phormictopus cancerides Male 5" and 5-6 years old. It was my understanding that this species matures in about 4 years, the with male being larger than the female reaching approx. 8" legspan.

Okay, but based on the size comparison, how old would you say it is? The seller said it was 5-6 years old.

    Lasiodora parahybana Not Eating

Thank so much for the advice. I dropped in a pre-kill cricket and after 2 days, there was nothing left but the hind legs and her abdomen was considerably larger. You guys are awesome. Thanks again!

What do you suggest? I'm afraid a kicking cricket might do damage.

    Lasiodora parahybana Not Eating

I'm new to the hobby and I'm looking for some advice. I got my 1"+ LP about a month ago. I have a Grammostola Pulchripes who will devour pinhead roaches every 3 days but when I offered one to the LP, it ran away like it was scared. I took out the roach and tried again every 2 days and the same...
