    Black speckles on abdomen

Why is nearly everyone on this forum so self righteous. I don't even want to come here anymore since the replies I get either imply I'm an idiot or accuse me of being some abusive monster to my spider. This is not the only reply I've gotten like this. Enough is enough. You all need to get a...

    The WORST possible tarantula?

I do not intend to handle them unless necessary. I just heard stories of T's attacking owners when they reach for the water dish and such. Thank you, though for the information!

    Black speckles on abdomen

Thank you! It is most likely dirt since her substrate is sphagnum moss.

    Black speckles on abdomen

I'm sorry the picture is small. I zoomed in max she's just such a speck. a cute speck but a small one nonetheless. I tried the paint brush and she bit it. I hope that's not a prelude to her adult behavior. I heard Curly Hairs were quite mild. Although her sphagnum moss has some dirt in it and...

    The WORST possible tarantula?

This is a useful thread! I've only bought three of the know calmest ones so far, so when I'm ready to branch out I'll know what to be wary of.

    Black speckles on abdomen

Hello all. I'm new to the hobby, (I've had T's for 5 months), and my newest baby, a Curly Hair about the size of my finger nail, decided to climb up the side of her (I call them all female until sexed) cage and then she purposely jumped down. She landed on her feet and seems fine, but I now...

@JumpingSpiderLady Sure did! It was such a pretty name. The name of an angel, which my baby is!

@Venom1080 Thank you! They had him in an arboreal cage for some reason. I figured he was terrestrial though.

@Venom1080 Oh a thousand pardons. I thought you meant sub species. You meant substrate. I'm still new to the terminology of the hobby. That was what he came with and has been promptly changed out, so no worries. He's safely away from that vile stuff.

@Venom1080 Unfortunately I got him from petco with very very little information, much to my disappointment. He was so damned cute, I couldn't resist. I'm using male pronouns until he's big enough to sex. He's actually the size of my pinky finger nail. I had to zoom in on my highest setting to...

    Disrupting Molting Web?

I'm so excited! I hope I have them for that long! Azriel was being photogenic today, so I got a great snapshot of him; the best one yet! There are so many great types, I just want to own them all! I'm gonna need a spider room haha. Edit: Forgot to mention, mine eat like its going out of style...

What beauty! She looks so healthy and happy! That's amazing you've had her so long! I hope I have mine for a long time, too! I'm new to the hobby. I've only had Judith for 4 months and Azriel for 1 and 1/2.

I have a female Rose Hair named Judith and what I believe to be a male Red Knee sling named Azriel. :) They are both so sweet and calm.

    Disrupting Molting Web?

Not trying to bump the thread intentionally, but she emerged from her molt and she's now bigger than an american dollar coin. She's growing so fast. So beautiful.

With a heat pad near her, but not on her cage. Update, she not only rebuilt it, but she made it twice as big. Her brother also emerged from his molt a couple hours ago. He's so cute and see thru looking.
