✓ Temps 75-80°
✓ infared heating/lightning
✓ 6-8 inches of substrate
✓ plenty of hides & water dish
✓ high humidity
✓ keep in a dark environment (closets work well)
✓ feed crickets every 7-10 days
✓ avoid handling, just observe and be patient with feeding
I'd say that's too small, but it really depends on the size/instar of your scorpions... a 10 gallon enclosure with multiple hides can house 2 adults just fine.
Just avoid rearranging or moving things around in the enclosure to often and use an infared bulb with your heat lamp, they cannot detect infared light.
Its normal for scorpions to go a few weeks without eating sometimes. What species do you have and what are you feeding them?
A 10 gallon tank would be good for either species and the substrate you mentioned will work good. Neither species will climb vertical. Both should be fed every 7-10 days and should have a shallow water dish of some kind. P.Imperator needs to be kept in a humid enclosure (80%) which requires...
The scorpion is venomous, but much less toxic than others of its genus. It mostly just depends on how a person reacts to the sting. (Just like some people are allergic to bee stings) It looks like centruroides gracilis to me, if so, its potency would depend the origin of the scorpion. Ones from...
For Hadrurus Arizonisis specificlly, the humidity does need to be increased and the surface temps need to be around 85-90 degrees. Since they molt in a burrow, about 6 inches of sand/excavator clay mix is needed. It would also be advisable to provide a water dish at this time and even running a...
Pinchers and pokies has pretty decent selection of scorpions right now including Hadrurus arizonisis too.

Generally, adults are easier to keep. Scorpions are survivalists and pretty hardy except when molting as mentioned by @CWilson1351 ,conditions must be right or...
Care for scorpions varies depending on the species. Some burrow and need deep substrate, some never burrow. Some need high humidity and other prefer a dry environment. Most all need hides of some type whether it be rocks or bark and sometimes water
A few good starter species,
Pandinus...
I was comparing that as well, it looks like a 5th instar scorpion to me. I just had a pair of AFS molt into 5i last month and they are also the same size. Mine are 18 mo old. :)
Yeah its pretty normal for scorpions to go quite awhile without eating. If she starts looking pretty fat, that's a good indicator that she is about to molt. Glad to hear you may be getting another scorp! :D
I would do a male/female pair. but it just depends on whether you want to chance your female having a brood or not.
Nice picture, good looking scorp! Definitely add more moisture to the substrate. It should be pretty damp and the humidity inside the enclosure should be high, close to 80%.
10 gallon tanks are recommended for a single adult. But as long as it has room to explore and the opportunity to catch prey it'll be fine. With a 20 gallon tank you could even add another since they are communal.
