My friend found this 2” tarantula yesterday on South Mountain in AZ. May be lighting but it doesn’t look like chalcodes to me. A bit late in the season for those, anyways, right? The palps do look a little bulbous, but I don’t have a different angle pic. Could this be mareki?
@Ungoliant To be honest, I’m not entirely sure  This was before I discovered AB and knew any better so she’s from Petco and not a breeder. I think rosea, because right after her molt, she definitely had pink coloration on the carapace but now she’s just grayish...
Anyone else going to Repticon Phoenix this weekend? I’ll be going on Saturday morning probably. Come say hi if you are!

Side question: Is it just the picture or are they the same size? The one time I tried (unsuccessfully) to pair my female, she was much larger than the guy. Admittedly, I haven't seen too many other...
Update: Shortly after placing her back into the tank, she wiggled into her burrow. Every few days, I checked to see if she showed any signs of dehydration and dripped some water into the burrow on the side closer to her mouth.
I can't tell you when exactly she passed away but her legs never...
