So this is my C. versicolor. (s)he refused food a week before and has now spun this hammock. I think (s)he might be molting soon, however, between the hammock and the lid is only 3cm. Is that safe? I don't want another T that gets stuck during the molting process.
seems it made a molting hammock about 2 inches below the lid. was that too small? i moved the sling in the middle of the enclosure for the pic. the hammock was lower to the side.
I mean the first three were so small but these last two were about 2 inch legspan so i was like, they're so hardy (and they were). this one is half stuck and curled.
I started out with 5 C. versicolor slings around 1,5 years ago. three died relatively quickly do to some errors i made with the husbandry and they just seemed frail. but the remaining two were doing very well and were beautiful and getting pretty big. with 2cm bodylength i assumed they were out...
I havent been here for a long time and i have some really adorable new pictures that i should go and update soon. For now i recorded one of my C. versicolor slings (two of the survivors, knock on wood) munching on a cricket:
My little female has bulldozed so much, both her water dishes are buried.
My 3 slings all molt around the same time.
They are not even 1cm in bodylength, but have their adult colors now :)
They tend to destroy or dump the molts somewhere (waterdish), but some of my Ts had the habit of keeping the molt in their hide and tossing them out 100 days later. Only take them if you can without upsetting the T. the one in my profile pic gave a threatpose when i attempted to get the molt...
Ive just found my B. albo MM in a death curl. I thought he had died since he had not moved at all. Until i gently straightened one of his legs from underneath him and he very slowly put the leg back under in the death curl position.
He has been mature for nearly 11 months now. He's clearly...
I have seen my MM B. albo make a spermweb in broad daylight and then he went upside down to fill his pedipalps.
Too bad your unsexed T turned out to be a male :(
Well, het is eigenlijk mijn zorgverzekering die daar kosten voor in rekening brengt als ik het eigen risico overzicht zo zie.
Back on topic. Happy for you that your eye is doing better @Bugcatcherbilly
Well they charge a fee for dispensing the meds during 'business hours'. When I left the hospital, I got some antibiotics 'outside of business hours' which resulted in a €25 fee plus the actual medicine cost.
I have had major surgery last january. So i need to pay that €450 in one go without having a job. Reasonable indeed :p
Also i need some medication for life. The pills itself cost about €4, but they charge an additional fee for picking up the meds at the pharmacy resulting in a €20+ fee total
