    My amazing surprise

An update. These little ones are all doing really well, only lost one. All are now heading for another moult, fat little sausages. Hubby keeps nagging me to sell them but ah! It ain't going to happen. Though if he agrees to me selling most of them and getting a Golliath, well maybe.

    Thoughts on feeding new mum

i have a new brood of little Liocheles waigiensis and was wanting to hear your thoughts on feeding her while they are on her back. Experiences really, I've read all the stuff that says she will eat the scorplings etc. My doubts though stem from having been a mum myself and knowing the energy...

    My amazing surprise

She's a Liocheles waigiensis or rainforest scorpion. Aussie species of course because we are not allowed any other kind. Mums burrowed down with babies and settled in today. Luckily it's on the edge of her tank so I can still observe her and the babies. Now still on watch with my big girl...

    My amazing surprise

I looked in on her this morning and we have at least 13. Also just witnessed the most incredible thing, seriously think the thought in scorpion paternal care need much much more research. A little one was off her back away from her when I looked in, I just watched her, move over and pause above...

    U. hoplurus pics and a question

She was wild caught in a semi arid environment so I'm told. I have her enclosure half sandy and half peat, loads of substrate to burrow in (though she never does) and it's humid but not as much as my tropicals enclosure. She loved landscaping her enclosure, but not burrowing. She has a good...

    Introduce Yourself

Hello New to forum. Loved critters since a child. Always the kid with a jar or 12 of something and never allowed anyone to kill even so much as a bull ant. Have had a pair of Waigiensis Scorps for a while now. Breeding them soon I hope. Also had a few little teeny marbled scorps. Have a crazy...

    U. hoplurus pics and a question

Here is my crazy Aussie desert girl. U. hoplurus Is she getting fat? I've had her for 4mths, never bred her. She seems to be getting a bit chunky and strange patches on her as per pics. Can the experts in here let me know what you see? If anything?

    Selenotypus Sp5 behaviour question

Thank you so much for the info. I actually contacted my local small animal vet and was extremely lucky that a lovely young vet there is an avid T collector/keeper. He came over and checked her out (vets just up the road from our house). FirstlY was very pleased to hear all my endless reading...

    Selenotypus Sp5 behaviour question

This her today, back in her original home but to me she looks darker in her back end and her main body has a lighter edge to it as do her fang holder bits. I know that's not technically written so please don't feel the need to tell me what already know. Athena is my first ever T after years of...

    Selenotypus Sp.4 (aussie)

Very beautiful T. I have a lovely lady Athena, Selenotypus sp5. Would it be possible for you to please have a look at my post if you have time? I know our Aussie Ts aren't everyone's cup of tea on the forum but she's incredibly special to me and I'm concerned.
