Help solving S. heros death (w/ pics)

You must also keep the substrate moist,at all times, use a spray bottle with distilled water works best, usually a cage spray a few times a week, will help keep the humidity up to standards, its also good to keep isopods in your centipedes, to help clean cage, and centipedes will not harm isopods,in...

Even though these centipedes can be found in desert settings, there lairs are anything but dry they...

When Can I feed My 1" Huntsman Spider after a Molt?

Hi, I'm experienced at keeping Tarantulas, and I know it's usually @ a week after a molt for a Tarantula sling, before you can feed, but I wasn't sure about true Spiders so much, as this is my first? My feeling was, since True Spiders live shorter life spans than Tarantulas they might regenerate...

    M. Robustum owners?

I have a 6" female, and have owned more in the past, for the most part these tend to be skittish, and they have a unique defensive move, where they start to bob up and down to intimidate, if that wont work then they spin@ to hit predator with sharp spikes on there rear legs. They love to burrow...

    P. rufilata or P. Ornata

I own 14 pokies, and for me the ornata is the most defensive. Even as spiderlings my ornatas would attack the paint brush during transfers.Out of my pokies ornatas are the biggest headache to transfer, due to its defensive nature.I prefer rufilata if I had to choose, both are huge, and among the...

    Old skin stuck to leg

This has happened to me several times, and I usually wet substrate even more and wait a few days, and they always fall off for me this way.I think its best to let it come off by its self, spiders are more delicate so to speak after moults so give it sometime before you try to remove yourself,if...
