Sad to say, but the joy of my collection has mysteriously passed  I am so confused at this point. I rehoused him while in premolt, to make room for his new size. He went on to his back on the second day of being in the new enclosure to start molting, but never turned back over. From...

look at the attachment for a better description of the non-poo entity in my tank. the microscopic mite-like bugs on the leaves are in the pic as well, but too small to capture without a macro lens. for a 'detailed' description, i'd need to extract one and get it under a microscope (i don't have...
*update* there appear to be very small, bright white clusters of eggs, randomly placed on some of the fake leaves in the tank? each 'egg' is about .5-1 millimeter in length? this sounding familiar?
and, does anyone know where i might find more info on these mites? i think thats what we're...
actually no. its a dark brown 'dot', anywhere from a quarter - to a half a millimeter across (verrry small). Nothing noticeable in the water dish.
Definately NOT a flea or tick. I have experience with those.
how do you suppose i get 'a better description' of something that is a fraction of a millimeter? I mean, i could tear the tank apart, try to find the other insect, and put it under a microscope?
hows this: it was slow moving (for its size i guess one could say it was fast, so speed is...
Okay, so before work this morning, i notice my Ornata did some hunting last night (ol' boy is freshly moulted by about a week and hungry, hunted down a crik last night/early this morning). Well, while I was sitting there watching him feed, i notice this veerrrry miniscule little bugger crawling...
First off, three of my slings moulted within a couple hours (B. Smithi, A. Chacoana, P. Murinus)
The question I have is regarding my P. Murinus. One of its rear legs appears to be thinner than the old leg on the exuvium, particularly the metatarsal. Secondly, its pedipalps seem to be...
kristal kaos, google it, TONS of pics.
new to the hobby. at this point, im pretty much interested in them all. HOWEVER, my murinus isn't quite as exciting as i thought it would be. Premoult possibly? My $.02...
Anyone else seen this behavior? Fun to watch, but im wondering if the little guy is unhappy with his, IMO, very cool arboreal set up (Temp/Humidity regulated very carefully). Anything?
new owner of a murinus as well. i actually took a 10 gallon tank and split it into two halves. The other side houses a sling P. Ornata. honestly the murinus is beautiful, but pretty boring. it won't feed?!?!
i wonder if its because of the humidity? They're very hardy spiders, but is 78-80%...
I've had to kill all the crickets before feeding my A. Chacoana sling. One to two decent feedings should do fine in between moults at that size. Yeah, it doesn't seem like much, but little guys like that are growing extremely fast, should moult every 3 wks or so.
thanks for info guys. The fact that it was so jumpy confused me. Most of the info out there says they get slow and sluggish.
I'm probably trippin, his abdomen looks healthy according to what you said above, and, the cricket it ate was pretty big!
