they get paralyzed by hair? Oh my god, that's great. i'd try it right now if i weren't afraid of losing yet another to who-knows-where until it decides to let me find it again.
a sac must have hatched recently on my porch, because I went out to look for cockroaches to feed my huntsmen, and...
@bryverine I didn't take one (and i really should have because boy was he going at it this time), but here is one of a P. lugardi doing something pretty similar
i was hesitant about getting my first baboon spider too (this guy) because i wasn't sure if i could handle something so aggressive, but...
Been going through the forums and there is really not enough information on keeping and breeding these critters! I have 5, currently, including one I've been raising since around November from a legspan of about 3/4", all caught wild here in Florida.
First, some guidelines on telling sexes...
big baby!! he's my MM P. murinus, and he's in a breeding tank that houses his regular container and my female's. he was shoved into a corner somewhere so I gently nudged him out and obviously the only reasonable reaction to this hideous betrayal was to flip over and throw a tantrum

I keep seeing female P. lugardis with huge butts, so I thought based on the build I probably have a male, but I took a few pictures and I'm thinking I might have a female? definitely wouldn't mind some help here, haha
I've never even heard of E. walckenaeri but oh my god what an adorable creature
Your H. sanguiniceps is gorgeous, too, the copper color in the carapace must be stunning in real life!!
hello haha i'm new and i'll bite
besides the bugs, clothes are how I express myself and most of my IRL friends are from fashion communities, so we take a lot of pictures!!
there's two for some outfit variety!
hi!! i'm Mint and i'm 22. I tried college but wasn't cut out for it! ;P i'm now working on paying off my loans and finding work, an internship or even volunteer opportunities involving inverts and other exotics.
i'm here to make friends with some people who won't simply tolerate me talking...
