    Suggestions for new T

Recently my first T, G. Pulchripes, has passed. Now I have an empty enclosure and I would like to fill it. I'm looking for a terrestrial or semi arboreal. I was thinking of GBB, but I'm afraid temperature might be a problem. I'm from western Europe and temperatures reach negatives ( °C not F)...

    sudden unexpected molt

How common is it for an adult female to molt almost twice in a row? It got me by surprise seeing my T molting twice in a two/three months span, when she used to molt once every thirteen months or something like that. Its a huge G Pulchripes, it was eating super well, mostly mealworms and she...

    Odor removal/masking agent

I honestly thought I was making myself clear. My Tarantula's room is smelly. I was asking if the stuff you find on stores to address these problems is tarantula safe. I dont need plumbing advice, at best I was looking for a chemist forum ffs... Thanks

    Odor removal/masking agent

I keep Ts in my room. For a while now the bathroom next to my room is having some issues of overall reflux. Every now and then I check for blockage and stuff and temporarily fix things, the one thing I'm not able to fix is the stench. It takes about 3 days, fully ventilated space, for the stink...

May I ask why the humid setting though? Most tolerant/forgiving species are on the drier side of the spectrum. And imo its easier to mantain a dry setup, but I'll let someone else be the judge of that since Im not that experienced.

Grammostola rosea is a slow grower and not exactly humidity lover. But sure they are mostly docile, although mine is quite defensive always rocking that threat pose whenever disturbed. But then again each T has a different personality of sorts

    Dating apps

This is a bit of an odd thread, but I'm really curious here... xD It's known that pet pics are a plus on dating apps. They look cute, they are a conversation starter and they show a bit of yourself and your life. Or at least this is very true with dogs and cats, etc... But how well does it work...

    Mite problems

Mature Female around 6 in DLS What exactly did you use to clean? It might be springtails. They are tiny, white and have legs. That's prety much all i can say about them. EDIT: Actually, upon a quick google search i don't think it might be springtails at all. These seem much bigger than mine...

    Mite problems

After some digging I'm seeing the tip of her legs. It's alive alright. Can't tell if it has molted or is about to. At least it didn't molt in the last couple days, seems dak enough. there are 2 white spots, but they might be grains of sand, it's too far to tell. Do I keep digging? Other...

    Mite problems

NOPE! Make that 6 hundred. 6 adults and a lot more tiny ones. God they are so tiny, and i have terrible eye sight... Do I wait for the T to show up to better evaluate the situation? Will she die if I don't intervene quickly? Could she already be dead?! :wideyed: Stressing out here...

    Mite problems

I know people tend to overreact with mites but this is my first time with mite problems and I'm not sure what to do. I just noticed that the enclosure where I keep my tenebrio molitor beetles has A SH*T TON of mites and that's probably why they were all dying. I keep them in oat meal so it was...
