    Help tarantula stays webbed up

Unless your ac has your room cold enough that you need a blanket or jacket to be comfortable, your T's shouldn't mind the temp. Unless you have the cold air blowing directly on their enclosures, which would be silly. My house has central air and stays around 70 F all year round, whether heated...

    Unboxing of everyone's favorite T :3333

I always found P. Metallica to be a beautiful T, but there are far nicer T's out there in my opinion. I have one, but my excitement of having her wore off awhile ago. She's a pain in the butt.

I guess I'm not "allowed" to see anymore

They're all freshly molted, within the last 2 weeks. So, I'd say renovating / reinforcing.

Taking the best shots with a phone camera. Any pro tips?

My galaxy note 4 seems to do ok with pictures, depending on the lighting and such. This is a pic taken in normal household lighting with no flash. It could be better, but it gets the job done.

I guess I'm not "allowed" to see anymore

All 5 of my B. Vagan slings have suddenly decided I'm no longer allowed to view their tarantulaing. Each one has filled it's burrow (that they had at first so kindly made against the sides of their containers) with thick webbing, so I can no longer see them in their burrows. Oh well, I suppose...

Never Had A Spider Do This Before....

The problem here isn't the offering of knowledge, or advice which I'm sure is readily accepted. The problem is the people offering advice always seem to be coming off as rude know it alls instead of being helpful. Not all, but most do it. Questions get asked for answers, but nobody wants the...

Never Had A Spider Do This Before....

Spiders do weird things. I had a rose hair a few years ago that played dead. He would flip onto his back and wait for the cricket to get close to him and then flip and pounce it.. Never quite understood that one. I named him possum and then he became a MM.. We know the rest.

Are any of your T's sissies?

No I offered him a smaller roach right after I took the bigger one from him out of curiosity and he ran right out and grabbed it before I could close his lid.. He was hungry.. He's just a sissy, this is normal behavior from him. I actually notice this behavior from most of my LP's. If it's...

Are any of your T's sissies?

One of my My 2.5 inch LP's should be ashamed of itself. I gave him a 1/2 roach yesterday, today I checked only to find him hanging upside down in his hide, hiding from it. Everytime it got close he ran away. So, I pulled it out, after which he promptly came down and sat properly in his hide. I...

Never had a sling do this before.

Really seems like a pain in the butt to me. Two drops of water in a cap or two drops of water in the corner (there are no corners, but for sake of explaining). I've never had an issue with mold before, I use an eyedropper to put a few drops of water on his eco earth once a week and feed him...

Never had a sling do this before.

I block T Mcgrouch in his hide with a handy Tupperware lid and do as I please in his house.. He gets over it.

Never had a sling do this before.

Lol.. On a less serious note my wonderful fiance's idea is funny enough to mention. He said why not tie a string around the roach nymph then when the spider is done just pull the string. Idk I just found that funny.

Never had a sling do this before.

A bottle cap from what? I've never given my slings any water bowl wider than their legspan, or deeper than they are tall. I just worry I suppose. And when I say he's small I mean I could set him on a dime and his legs would just touch the sides. Currently he's in a container about the size of...

Never had a sling do this before.

Well given that the b. Vagan hoarder is only around 1/4 inch (I've seen pill bugs bigger than him.) He has no water bowl at the moment. And yes he is a little moister than I keep my bigger slings. But nowhere near wet and anything with uneaten body fluids and organic matter can mold/rot. Up...

Never had a sling do this before.

I am OCD about getting leftovers out of my T's enclosures and all of them cooperate. Nicely leaving their leftovers outside their hides, the slings push them out of their burrows when they're done. So, I'm at a loss for how to handle my new issue. One of my b. Vagan slings isn't cleaning his...

    B. lats were a hit on the first try!

Thats why I didn't opt for Dubia.. I already have picky T's or maybe they just enjoy the hunt and therefore have no interest in worms. I didn't want something I was going to have to crush the head or cripple every time I fed to prevent burrowing or to make it move. And then have to wonder if my...

    B. lats were a hit on the first try!

No, I was just over exaggerating the size difference between adults and babies. No mite worries here. Brand new everything in that bin and there were no mites with the batch of roaches I ordered.

    B. lats were a hit on the first try!

Mature males are 1-1.5 inches long with wings, atleast mine are and my females are just as long, if not longer wingless and kind of creepy looking. Lol If you're trying to breed careful how many you feed off the eggs take a while to hatch and then the babies will be like moving specks of dirt...

    B Lats dropping like flies

Water was my first thought, they have a ton of fruit apple chunks, peach chunks (on a paper towel to absorb juice and prevent stuck nymphs) and some orange, some cat food and a wet paper towel. They are loving the fruit and several have taken up residence on the wet paper towel.. They also...

    B Lats dropping like flies

I got my shipment of B. Lats yesterday 40 adults 200-250 various sized nymphs and juvies. I had around 60 doa's and I contacted the supplier who informed me that "we had a spur of the moment heat wave with heat indexes in the low 100s and they were probably left out on a hot truck too long"...
