  1. Inland Sea Exotics

Review by 'spiderbesideher' on item 'Inland Sea Exotics'

I have purchased spiderlings at least 6 times over the last few years from Inland Sea Exotics. Each transaction has been marked by exceptional communication, excellent pricing, and very thoughtful flexibility in both scheduling meet-ups and/or timing shipping. I have ordered with both 2 day...

Review by 'spiderbesideher' on item 'Artemis Animalia - (Formerly the user "Tangled")'

Tangled/Artemis Animalia provided an excellent tarantula procurement experience from start to finish. Communication was very prompt and through as I considered and placed my order. They worked with me on an adjusted shipping date 2 weeks in the future as I was not sure of my availability in...

On the subject of keeping records...

I used the Tarantulas app for a long time but didn't like how I couldn't compare in one viewing pane. Switched to an Excel sheet and it's great! Usually I update it once a month within anything big going on in the collection...molts, rehouses, fasting, newbies...

How Often Do You Buy T.'s?

I only by more t's when the time is just right, such as: A good price or sale, A species on my list becomes available locally, A trade show event/Repticon is nearby, Rogue Craigslist rehoming catches my eye, Someone is getting out of the hobby and dismantling their collection, The day ends...

    Lighting Query...

Thanks everyone! Will take the blue lighting into consideration. Most of mine really don't seem to do much when the lights are flipped on so I think they should react OK. I'll let you know what the outcome is!

    Lighting Query...

Apologies if this has already been discussed; [please direct and I'll remove... I'm in the process of building permanent adult housing shelving for my t's and would like to install some sort of observation lighting. Not necessarily a daily thing but just for observation purposes, when I want to...

    Cat feeding advice

We feed our cat 1/4 cup three times a day. A small bit more than recommended but he seems happy and is still slim. And constantly bouncing around, so no wonder he burns it all off. We use Hills Science Diet and that is the recommended amount... would depend on what you use I imagine. Ours was...

Another acrylic box option for arboreals

I use something similar with a very flush top lid - only since they are arboreal, I use minimal substrate on the thin lid as a bottom and hot glue the decor to the top (actually I hot glue magnets to decor and use magnets on the exterior to hold them up) :P

    Rescued Baby Squirrels!

Oh how cute! I have always wanted to foster a baby squirrel...but you know here in the South I know a few people who have and they've all ended in unfortunate endings with family pets or injuries. Glad yours are doing well!

    Preferred Racking?

I am currently in the same situation...growing Juvies and looking at a full size situation for the future. I really like THESE Container Store shoe boxes that already come with a few ventilation holes and snap on lids! I can imagine easily putting together a wooden frame to fit them...
