He had been hanging out on the screen of the tank alot. He'd webbed up one of the corners, and could stay in the webbing for days.
When I first found him it was because I had noticed what I thought was the T itself dangling from the wire screen of the center of the lid. On closer expection I...
First: I know a lot of you are going to yell at me for doing this, because this whole terrible thing would never have happened if I had set up my T's tank in another fashion, but I need some help. So please, just help me.
My Chaco spiderling molted from the screen ceiling of his tank, and...
I actually bought a small hamster ball for my big Rosehair, Twiggy.
She loves it, and rolls all around the house for hours.
Of course I kick the cat out when it's Twiggys time to play.

I also have a Chaco sling, about .5". He/She eats like CRAZY and has molted once in the two months that I've had her. I really dig her, and can't wait until she's big enough to move into an aquarium. She also seems much more active than the handful of other T's I also have in the apartment.

You are correct. He's begun to molt. It looks extra painful this time.
I am slowly beginning to see just how GIGANTIC he's going to become!
Thank you for your support.
Also, I dropped the temp in here to 75, and that seemed to help alot.

This is our second molt with my brazilian whiteknee.
The first one began and finished with in an hour.
This one, however, doesn't seem to be going as well.
I saw him laying a bed of web this morning, and knew he was ready to go.
I got home about 45 minutes ago, and he was on his back in...
When I got my g rosea, I was told that it was a female. I've had Twiggy for about 6 months now, and she had her first molt with me about a month ago.
She's been very active now when it's dim, and completely hides in her enclosure when the brighter lights are on. She's much more of a hunter...
I am several states away from home, and my boyfriend has been watching over our collection of tarantulas. Our g. aureostriata has escaped through the ventilation slats in its 'kritter kreeper' and has not been seen in a week. She's about the size of a dime, fully spread... What are the chances...
I've got a baby grammostola aureostriata (Shakti, aka "Popcorn", below) and I'm not quite sure how to give her water. I know the cotton ball rule is anti-anti on this board, so I'm looking for some help. I worry she could fall in a bottle cap and not get out, so I've used some q-tip ...tips...
I found her!!
She's completely fine, and doesn't seem to be phased by anything at all!
I feel like such a dope.
Thank you guys for your help, truly.
I've got a few questions about the other babies, but I'll post them in new, applicable threads.
You're the best, all of you.

Hello. I've been reading your posts for several weeks now, and have not had a chance to post... until now.
I think I've lost my b. smithi.
She was in her aquarium this morning.
Last nite my boyfriend took the lid off to pull out a cricket she had not eaten all day, and I don't think he...
