What's the closest you've been to permanently getting out of the hobby

So 7 years ago I had a lumbar fusion and couldn't go back tight away to work so I was terminated. I couldn't work so I distributed the invert zoo to various kiddos who wanted to adopt them. Three failures of said surgery later and 7 years later I am once again teaching, this time SPED and...

I need help with ID on this girl, please?

Yeah, the Neoscona oaxacensis looked the most similar to me when I was looking, and those pics you shared are from that G/sp. Yeah im not finding a 2-spot morph of any of them but I think N. oaxacensis is closest, all of those links have similarities for sure. Thanks, Chanda!

    Fat jumping spider

She is so cute! I bet all her eggs are causing her to eat like my 14 y/o human spawn. Thanks for sharing! Btw, they can store sperm and lay sacs long after mating, might she be gravid?

I need help with ID on this girl, please?

Hi, all! I need help narrowing down this girl to Genius, sp., please. I'm wracking my brain, field guides, etc, and the closest I can get her is into Orbweavers (family Araneidae). I'm not finding any that resemble her very closely. True spiders is a genre I seem to still have ID troubles...
