Do you mean that it was just one cricket? Or is it consistent? Because one dead cricket is not something to worry about, if the sling hasn't taken it by tomorrow morning you should take it out. If only one cricket was killed, a fish line is no where near reasonable.
Not an expert on this subject, but try to eliminate all uneaten food items. Here is a thread with a lot of solutions to your problem:

How big are the crickets that you accidentally killed? If they're small enough, they could be fed to your slings with no problems. Otherwise, I would suggest you not attempt the fishing line, as Bugmom said, they can get wrapped around parts of the tarantulas legs, of fangs. So unless they're...
I find that slings will usually take prekilled crickets if it is placed near its fangs and the T placed in a dark environment with no disturbance. How big are your Ts? If they're juveniles or adults, prekilled crickets aren't required.
Hey guys,
So if you read any of my previous posts, you'll know I got a new P. Irminia. The enclosure consists of a large cork bark and a water dish. The spider is 3in. Yesterday night, i left a cricket in there, when I woke up this morning, the spider had the cricket in his fangs. I thought he...
The dealers have pretty good prices, for juveniles. Also, 160 isn't that outrageous, Tarantula Canada sells 2" H. Lividums for 100.
From my expierence, the dealers that you know better tend to give better prices or add in freebies. I got a 10 dollar reduction when buying my 3" P. Irminia from...
I would shift through the substrate, it may have buried the T, but take caution not to squish it. If you don't find anything, try searching the ceilings and the walls as they are arboreals and do like to climb.
Best of luck!

P.S. I added cross...
