    I did it!!!!

Cross ventilation to be clear is when you offer ventilation in a way that gives a microclimate in the enclosure. for example: Put holes around the upper sides of the enclosure, and not on the top. This way humidity rises to the top and has to fight to escape rather then flow out. An example of...

I'd agree. My housing setup changes half the time because I want something different.. And the other half because of rehousing binges every year or so. lol

    Curly Haired Laid Eggs Help!!!!

Well for now the worst thing to do is bother the tarantula with an egg sac if you want any viable eggs! Secondly, keep it somewhere with little traffic. Some tarantulas have been known to lay "phantom" egg sacs, but I've never experienced it. The only option seems to be that she is a wild caught...

Am I ready for another t?

Brachypelma Smithi are a very hardy spider. Depends on the size that you want. But always provide some moist substrate, and a form of a water dish according to the size of the spider. A. avic care questions

Avics up at the top of their enclosure is not abnormal.. If it's eating then I wouldn't worry at all. I feed most of my tropicals every one to two weeks.. My Avics, I've been feeding a bit more often. As long as the abdomen is consistently healthy I wouldn't worry.

    Brand new GBB owner

GBB's have adapted to arboreal settings in the wild, and in captivity.. Although I think you're right on size in general.. It's not the end of the world, but could take longer for the spider to adapt, and will certainly create more hassle with feeding(prey sitting on the opposite end of the...
