I would be very careful feeding very many fish. Most feeders are treated with copper to combat disease. I don't know what the effects of copper are on bugs, but I know in marine inverts it causes quick death. I'm just giving caution.

I have my 10g emp tank all setup and have 2 25wt bulbs on it. In the very corners the temps are in the low 70's but most of the tanks is above 75F to 80F is this ok.

What are the advantages/disadvantages to the false bottom setup. Also I have a 12" peice of flexwatt setup on the side connected to a thermostat would the false bottom help keep the heat up better.

I setup the tank before I read your post. I went with 1" of coco fiber and then 1" of peat moss. Is this ok. I'm going with what the guys at the reptile shop told me (one is a big invert keeper)

I'm gonna get a couple emperors in a couple days but I have a couple questions. I'm gonna use a mix of peat moss and coconut fiber how deep of substrate should I use. Also would a portion cup be ok for water.
