A Reverse Osmosis system does not eliminate all minerals from the water, it just reduce them. It also reduces the levels of lead, nitrates, cysts (cryptosporidium, giardia), arsenic and other contaminants commonly found in unfiltered tap water.

I use purified water for few reasons:
1. the water in my area is very hard and leaves calcium deposit on the enclosure glasses and in the water dishes.
2. I 'm sure that the additive added in municipal water cannot be beneficial for any animal or human.
3. I noticed a reduction in...

I suggest also a tiny water dish, I noticed that mine drink very often.
I know I 'm out of topic; :?
How do you take care of all your Ts?
How do schedule feeding, fill up water dish, tanks cleaning, etc.?
I'm just curious.
Thanks

My regalis is constantly moving the substrate; the funny part is that she fills up the water dish (Gatorade cup) with the mixture of web and coconut fibers then moves the dish in a specific corner of the enclosure, dumps it out and returns the dish in the original position.
I have a tiny one (1”) in a small pill container.
It eats and digs all day and night; I have it in captivity since January.
I use coconut fiber as substrate and I always leave a small piece of lettuce in it.
I tried other vegetables and fruits but it only eats lettuce.

I have a 2" sling, with a really interesting blue color with golden hairs.
I must say it has a lot of personality, exploring the enclosure day and night and never refuse to kill a prey even few hour before molt.
I got my cobalt blue (2.5") 2 weeks ago. it webbed a corner and it was sitting there all day 2 days ago it decided that was time to dig....
it made an impressive borrow overnight, it reached the bottom of the enclosure and all arround the 4 walls, I guess I m lucky the burrow starts on the...
I keep my G. rosea sling on dry substrate.
It gets really mad if I overspill the water dish, it goes on the wall and it waits for the substrate to dry up. :?
Ok, I ‘ll leave it alone. So if it’s hungry it will come out.
Am I right?
I also have a question about the substrate.
Do I need to compact it? Or leave loose.
Thanks
Rick
