That creature was definitely a sight to see but unfortunately he no longer has it.... :( I am sure he has a few other fun things to send but I think more of the less defensive inverts will be going to this show seeing there are a lot of kids and non invert/reptile types that come to this show...
Yes the time is here once again for this fun show, I will be there again helping out the Krazy 8 folks as Chris will be in Pomona working that show.....
Hope to see a few of you there..... Greg
Just a little FYI, there are 2 shows in the So. Cal area over this up coming weekend were there will be T's for sale, 1 in Pomona and 1 in Los Angeles....
Greg
I am surprised Chris didn't chime in here? Anyway Chris of Krazy 8's will be there with his normal tables overstocked with all the invert goodness that you have all come to expect and an odd cast of characters behind the tables that love to talk about them... Stop by I will be there along with...
A lot would depend on the conditions you keep it, but normal growth for an emilia of that size to adult I would say around 5 or 6 years could be less with power feeding and higher heat could be a little longer if kept cooler and only feed once a week or so... Greg
Top is 6"+ female botom is 6"+ mature male P. cancerides...
If you can't figure it out for youself see if you can get a picture and we will see what we can do to sex it for you... Greg
From your posts MEXICOYA415 I would say don't even try and hold any Psalmo until you gain a little experience and learn to read there actions and warning signs, that being said irminia in general are the most defensive of the Psalmos but still handlable with a little knowledge, pulcher and...
No I have no clue as to the sex of any of them yet...
That was pretty much the plan only going a little larger and yes I will post whatever happens
Yeah so do I, now that would be a sight 4 adult formosa
The only Psalmo I have heard of together was a friend that hatched out a sac...
Very interesting Ray, one reason I have yet to rehouse mine is I can not seem to find something that I feel comfortable size wise to put them in as I want to keep them somewhat confined so they have to be together somewhat, I know what I am looking for is out there I have just been to lazy to up...
More of a ground species they are what you would call an obligated burrower in that they will use holes that are already there, in the years that I have kept them the only digging I have seen is from slings and an expecting mother... Greg
I have not had the smallest bit of trouble with them as of yet, I still have them in the same DVD container that I have been needing to get them out of for months :wall: but they still share that same web retreat and live, feed and molt together with no problems.
Good that you started with...
My 4 formosa from that thread are almost 14 months in and still a happy little family...
@Mr. Baker, You said you want large and green the one you want like sick 4x4 said is the rufilata, much more green than ornata and they get as large as ornata both around the 9" mark plus from my...
That is to bad, would have been nice to have some US bred reduncus around :( I just got a male from SSW a few weeks back and have had one very good pairing with them so far, that was the first one about a week after I got the male I have tried them a few times since but neither one shows any...
Yeah it all depends on how you look at it, when you look at arboreals on the other hand I have know males to mature in around a year and females live only around 8-12 years so kind of sucks to pay $40 bucks for a T and it matures and dies in a year or two but I normally breed almost everything I...
Males don't live as long, say you get a B. smithi a male will live around 7 or 8 years mature and die within a year or so a female will live 20-30 years, other than that nothing wrong with a male...
