That is the inside. Just had a light under it. Made the light spots look dark. I'll post another pic... Just didn't think the others were as clear... Coming in a minute...

Looks to just be an indentation. It's more easily seen in the last pic I had posted. I had it pretty well stretched out and there was no opening...

Could be female. I'm not really good at determining. I got a better close up with this pic. Let me know what you guys think.
