    Phantom Egg Sacs

Hi! I've a Tapinauchenius cf santivincenti that I acquired as a sling in the summer of 2015. I was pretty surprised when I noticed it had created what appears to be an egg sac. It's a soft white ball of dense silk about an inch in diameter. It's identical to every picture I've seen of an egg...

    Euathlus sp Red sling care

When they were 1/4 inch slings, my LPs did well on cricket 'drumsticks' then larger pieces until they molted a couple times and started taking down small crickets. Now they're getting kinda big and get 4-5 crickets every 2nd week I never did get the Euathlus sp Red. I still have some temptation...

    A. versicolor

Does this 3 inch A. versicolor look female to you?

    Opinion

Opinion 2 I cant explain my lack of interest in brachyopelma. They're big , beautiful tarantulas. I'd get another A. versicolor if mine was male. Don't care about non-tarantulas. So, that leaves the pumpkin patch. They look pretty interesting to me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    T's and Guitar??

My LPs love stairway to heaven. Not sure what's wrong with yours. Maybe you should keep an eye on the humidity.

    P. subfusca?

Based upon Poec54's comment re how to tell them apart, I would guess the top one is 'highland'? That is a particularly beautiful tarantula.

    What's gone wrong?

This does sound pretty worrisome. I'd suggest that you spend more time browsing the picture threads and the catalogues of your favorite dealers. You'll get over your sense of satisfaction soon enough and then your new orders will begin arriving. Good luck!

Thanks very much for looking. I think I'll need to get something that can take better pics than my iphone.
  10. My L. parahybana.

    My L. parahybana.

He/she is roughly 3 inches. This is the best picture I've been able to take so far. After comparing this to other LPs here, I'm not too sure about its sex. What's your call?

Texas Brown pairing...I fell asleep. -.-

I was certain I was about to read that you fell asleep with 2 spiders in an enclosure and woke up with 1 spider and 1 large bolus.

    Tarantula eating eggs

Has she been bred with a male? If she hasn't mated, then those can't be viable eggs.

Least favorite T? I know. It's tough, but easy for me...

I'm really enjoying my LPs, so I don't really understand why some list them as their least favourite. Of course, I don't have experience with the A. genics or Pamphobeteus that many prefer and recommend. And my LPs are still growing quickly which has been a big part of the entertainment. No, I...

    Who molted today?

My A. versicolor molted this past Thursday, 6 days ago. It's now 2 inches, maybe a bit more and its adult colours are coming. My blue spider is now green and pink :)

    Wishlists...and stuff

So, what's on yours for the time being? Euathlus sp. red is the only thing missing from my wish list, for the time being. (Subject to change upon reading another thread praising some other T). Which of them has the highest priority if you come across a good deal? Hard to choose... the...

Secure Display / Storage of T's

Could you stretch a chain or heavy wire across the front to keep things from being pushed off by a cat wandering on your shelf? Maybe held in place with a latch so you can easily remove it when you want to remove larger enclosures. ---------- Post added 08-02-2015 at 09:47 PM ----------...

    Lasiodora Parahybana Feeding problem

My 3 LPs have never gone more than 2 months between molts since I got them as tiny slings almost a year ago. They're just about 4 inches now, so maybe a tad smaller than yours, but still, they're fast growers.

I think my Rosehair is having trouble molting? What should I do?

If you try to help it with its molt at this point, you're probably going to wind up pulling off 1 or more legs - and at best wind up with a pretty broken T. If you're OK with that then give it a try. But I think it'd be easier for you and your spider if you didn't.

    Arboreal Adaptations

Aerodynamics? Maybe they're less likely to get blown off their perch. Or maybe the flat carapace gives them a small advantage when jumping.

I think my Rosehair is having trouble molting? What should I do?

On the photo posted here, is that a hook on the first leg to the left of the fangs?
