My G. Rosea is on a very very long fast.

I'll try to get some pictures of the tarantula in soon. So far, I'll keep the light on but It might go into the mid 80s due to the hot weather we've been having during the day. Also, I'll try feeding her again soon. She always has water available, and her fangs appear to be fine. I didn't see...

My G. Rosea is on a very very long fast.

I can barely remember the last time I fed my tarantula. I don't know the last time she ate something. It's become such a long time that I've become worried. In terms of how long it's been, I think it might have been last spring or last summer since she regularly ate. She molted in December but...

How to remove baby crickets in tank?

Hey everyone, When I put the adult crickets in for one day, they always seem to be able to sneak in a few eggs. Now I got these little pinhead crickets running around the tank, and I can't seem to get all of them. What can I do to try and prevent this?

    Ants

I would definatly check for more ants. I woke up to find hundreds of them in my tank. From my own experience, I would recommend spreading about a half an inch wide layer of Vaseline on the sides of the tank so they can't climb in, and then maybe put some terro outside of the tank to kill them...

    Happy Dance

My G. Rosea does it whenever she eats. I am not sure whether it is before or after she starts digesting it, but I think it is before. When she does it I can see her spinning a very fine layer of webbing all across the substrate. She does it so much that sometimes the entire top of the substrate...

    Major T Emergency: Ant invasion!

It isn't over yet! The ants have returned. I have placed terro around already, but now it is on a cardboard pad right up against the tank. My T hasn't eaten in 2 weeks due to these problems, and I have just bought about 20 crickets to care for so I can give her well fed ones. What I am concerned...

    Major T Emergency: Ant invasion!

Actually if you guys said it was okay, I was going to put in a few seeds, but I threw away the old grass. Actually I think I know one of the things that attracted these ants. I remember finding small mites in the substrate. Little ones that seemed to only survive on the wet substrate. Actually I...

    Major T Emergency: Ant invasion!

Okay, here is what I did. I went to the pet shop and the hardware store. I bought Terro and I am going to put up a trap outside and inside. I bought two bricks of Forest Bedding and a new plastic cave. Would it be okay to use the wooden half log after this invasion? I like it a lot, but she...

    Major T Emergency: Ant invasion!

Okay, I got it in a 6x4x6 kritter keeper tote thing with a dixie cup cut in half and filled with bottled water. I put it behind the tank so it is in a safer discreet place for now. I hope there aren't any ants on her, I didn't see any though. I got to go to school. Bye.

    Major T Emergency: Ant invasion!

I apologize if I overlooked a thread regarding this, but I will be off to school in half an hour. Here is one quick way to summarize the situation. Look at this picture. Look on the left. You see that black spot on the coconut hut? Ants. There's got to be a hundred on them around...

    Feedback on my setup?

Unfortunatley at the moment She is in one of the top corners of the tank and she is partially on the cover and on the side. What should I do? fortunatley there is nothing but the soft substrate below her but I heard that still would be enough to split the abdomen.

    Feedback on my setup?

Hey everyone. I would like some feedback on my tank for my G. Rosea, Fuzzy. I took that picture when I just got her, so not much has changed.. It is a ten gallon, and since she is only three inches long, it is big for her. It might be too big. If you guys think I should give her a...
