    Smaller species recommendations?

I find S. polymorpha locally, and could send you one if you still haven’t made the jump! Message me if interested :)

    North American Scolopendromorph Centipede Monograph

Sorry to bring this back from 17 years ago... but does anyone know if/how I can purchase this?

Newbie accidentally bought a featherleg, now what?

I couldn’t agree with this post more. The sad state of the Tarantula hobby. How quickly people forget how they were when they were new. Everyone should make it a point to call these people out and shun them when they act like that, as well as be encouraging to new keepers who are obviously...

    Scolopendra heros revision?

If you could find a way to share it, that would be awesome! Still no word from the guy that was going to send it to me.

    Smaller species recommendations?

I highly recommend Ethmostigmus trigonopodus for a first time pede. They are of small to medium size, have great color, are stocky, but in my experience are more predictable than S. polymorpha(which would be my second recommendation, and you still can’t go wrong with).

    Scolopendra heros revision?

It’s been brought to my attention that there has been a revision of Scolopendra heros. I have heard conflicting info, with no citing of the revision. Does anyone have a link to the revision? I looked on Research Gate to no avail. Thanks!

Scolopendra dehaani yellow/orange/red leg? Different locale, or just variation?

I used to work for a large reptile company, and we would get imported dehaani in high numbers direct from Vietnam. A majority would be the standard yellow leg, however, you would get lucky and get a random orange and red leg in the shipments. Does anyone know if these are collected from a...

ID help: did I just find H. arizonensis?

Looks almost identical to the Paruroctonus species we have in So cal, although slightly a different color. I would bet Parurctonus.

    Ethmostigmus trigonopodus "Yellow Legs" Observations

They were burrowed right next to each other, so I’m assuming they bred!

    Ethmostigmus trigonopodus "Yellow Legs" Observations

I did the same with a pair last night. They didn’t show any noticeable signs of courting, however they showed no signs of aggression, and even burrowed right next to each other, so I am hopeful! I will separate them shortly. Thanks for sharing your experience! I hope to be as successful as you.

New Invertebrate Club in Southern California!

Thanks for the invite! I really like the idea of this. My only reservation is that I am unable to commit to traveling too far from SD county on a regular basis, as I am a busy body. It appears as though the first meeting was in rancho Cucomonga... is that going to be a regular meeting place?

    Ethmostigmus trigonopodus "Yellow Legs" Observations

I’ll grab some in the next couple days! Did you put the male in the females’s, Vice versa, or a neutral cage? And were there any rocks or wood in the cage? Did you witness courtship, or were they left undisturbed for a period of time?

    Ethmostigmus trigonopodus "Yellow Legs" Observations

What was your process for pairing them? I have a trio of yellow legs that are very different looking than yours, also imported as S. mirabilis. Congrats on the successful breeding!
