If what you are looking for is experience, there are a great number of more desired species that would be better learning tools since you would be able to find homes for them more readily.
Recommendations would be easy to find - I have seen threads on beginning breeding projects both recently...
My first thought is do you really want to breed this species? They have a LOT of babies.
Past that, hard to give an answer to her not eating when I don't know the last time she molted, how frequently she was eating prior to that, how large she is (although I would assume a large adult if you...
A plus to deli containers over screw on...you can crack one side and drop a prey item in or squirt some water instead of removing the entire lid...useful with flighty species, or when you don't want to tear webbing that may be on the lid.
I think one big show is not feasible. The expense for most people from all corners of the country, plus lodging in the chosen city, would not make it worth it when you can get spiders, and a better selection of them, conveniently shipped to you instead. No vendor is going to want to attend with...
These posts always make me think of humans. Those not trying to reproduce suddenly have a sac and those actively trying are cursing that a sac hasn't dropped yet...
I was flipping through pictures on my phone and thought it would be fun if we had a thread just for spiders in the process/just finishing up molting. Here are my first offerings, and I hope others will add to this thread as well!

I don't keep stones in the water dishes with my tarantulas as I think they are a pain, so I do get some dead ones in water dishes, and I am confident it is from them jumping into the dish and me not noticing to pull them out for the tarantula in time.
Crickets are dumb :dead:
I've dropped crickets into enclosures and watch them almost immediately jump into the T's water dish. Maybe drowning is preferred over the slow death in a tarantula's fangs. Fortunately I don't deal with crickets much anymore.
I love the livestream idea - was thinking of doing something similar soon but maybe with the camera (gopro) on my forehead and do POV feedings. Could open it up to conversation and giving closer views to species people watching are interested in. Feeding takes quite a while with 200+ now, so...
I love psalmos! I have 4 of these and I can't wait until they get bigger! All molted recently, pushing 1.5 inches now.
Thank you for being such a dedicated hobbyist, @louise f ! Love your videos always. Looking forward to more eggsac pictures!
