What is this?

I found this guy on the stairs inside my house. Is he a wolf spider or a grass spider? I know nothing about spiders
Probably Rabidosa rabida or rabid wolf spider, they are very common across much of north america. another possibility is Rabidosa punctulata, the difference is punctulata has spots on the underside of their abdomen.

@swilm6 I can't get a good photo of its underside, but would a couple more photos of its top side help more or no?

It is definitely a wolf spider. We have them all over the place here in BC, Canada on the west coast. Some can get as large as 2 to 3 inches and have a nasty bite, tho not dangerous, it could still be very painful for certain people.
