I found this T on craigslist listed as a "Brazilian Black" however it looks to be from the Aphonopelma genus. Either way for $10, I couldn't pass it up. What do you think?
It looks exactly like my female G. pulchra, also in bad need of a moult. When this species has gone awhile without moulting, their color fades and they become more brownish. This one looks like it's going to moult soon, from the darkening skin patch on its abdomen. Hopefully, it's a female; that would be an awesome bargain to get a Brazilian Black for $10.00! I have a smaller spider that I got for $25.00 that is probably a G. pulchra also, but it's more silvery than my big girl. It hasn't moulted either, though, so it waits to be seen if it turns that characteristic shiny jet-black when it does.

Have you noticed that this spider has a regenerated second walking limb on the front right side(which is to your left, looking at the photo)?

I did notice the regenerated leg. The lady I got it from said it was 17 years old. I don't know if that was a guess or what. I just thought that pulchra's were bigger. Its wayyyy smaller than my B. smithi.

If it were a Grammostola though... shouldn't it have the mirror patch? this spider doesn't look to have one, so it may be from another genus.
