Better Picture. Any Ideas what it is?
Looks like could be some Phormictopus or Pamph maybe. Have you a photo with flash?

Okay, but based on the size comparison, how old would you say it is? The seller said it was 5-6 years old.

I can't be sure about age from size. These are fast growers I think only takes like 2-3 years to mature. I cant tell you for certain what it is. Would get a better idea with flash.

It looks to be a Phormictopus sp. You can confirm that by checking for an appropriate stidulating organ. Taxonomy is done by looking at key characters. Unfortuntaty there seems to be several species in the hobby where people have vaguely guessed 'cancerides' an others have taken that as gospel. So. Possible Phormictopus sp. Next check key characters. Age depends on how you keep it, Phormictopus grow relatively quick, but if feed rarely and keep cool, then can take several years to reach adulthood. It's *some* years.
