I opened up the enclosure for a quick cleanup and she saw it as a chance to come out and explore. Had to coax her back in. Sorry, gorgeous girl. You must stay in your room. :)
Yeah. The differences between red and yellow are on the subtle side. If she's anything like my AF E. sp. red was then she's an absolute sweetheart! Special Ts, for sure.
I've seen 3 basic colors over the years for the red/yellows. Early on most of what is called sp Yellow is much lighter than the above. A straw yellow sorta. And also early on the reds I saw were often a bright shade of red. I'd say somewhat similar to a USA fire engine, but I haven't seen this in quite a while, many years.
However, in the past few years, I've seen this shade which to me is really more of an orange color.
@viper69 Yeah, she's definitely more orange. But her personality is right in line with what I've heard about reds, so the coloration seems to be the only difference with these guys.
