Is that a c lividus? If so one they take a few days to acclimate. My most recent one sat in top of the burrow, on the patch of sphagnum moss for almost a week and a half before going to the burrow. Count it as a blessing that you get to see them while you can

It is indeed.
It's just funny because every time I think I have a handle on where the tarantulas will setup, they surprise me by building on the door of the enclosure, not ever needing a hide, or actually building web up on top of the hide.
