P. sazimai

Juvenile female, molted a week ago.
@Arnel Pahuriray Actually, this is the real colours of the P. sazimai. The photos you've seen are "lying" because the intense blue coloration is due to camera flashes. The colors are not pigments like we are used to but reflective colour caused by nano-structures so the brighter the flash the brighter the blue. The photo above is taken outside in sunlight. Here is a photo of the same tarantula taken with flash:

@ThisMeansWAR the seeker. com/?blue that from Taiwan or tailand area," blue. that different type off spider. where did you get you're p.sazimai, if u got that from UK. beware of look a like tarantula. and hold in you hand with a big smile.

@Arnel Pahuriray I don't understand what you mean... Taiwan or Thailand? Are you thinking of Cyriopagopus lividum? The Pterinopelma sazimai is from Minas Gerais in Brazil. There are no tarantulas that look like the P. sazimai. Pterinopelma is a monotypic taxon, meaning that it only has this one species.

Ah, you are thinking of Aphonopelma mooreae. I haven't seen that one before, you are right - it does look similar. But the "hairs" on the abdomen on that one are orange and the carapace is closer to cyan.
