I feel like this is a largely unappreciated species. freshly molted is a really beautiful tarantula. she molted about 2 weeks ago so these are her full adult colors. Beautiful copperish pickish shine on the carapace and great pink/red/brown setea and hair.
With that said that is a very beautiful T. ^.^ I've been considering getting a Rosie for the hubby. It's the T he used to have before we ever met, he really liked them.
@lunarae yeah, I just really appreciate that metallic pinckish/copperish color in the carapace. I lucked out with her, she was a lps find penultimate female for 20$
Nice. I've found slings available for 18$ before. I do plan on getting him one some day, just as soon as we have the space for it. And by space I mean more places to set things up where the little monster can't get to it.
That is not a rosea, you guys really need to pay close attention of what you are purchasing. What you have is a Grammostola sp. "Northern" or the other name "Northern Gold".
They're actually 15$ through them, but I don't know much about the local shows and the people that do them. however, we got our A. Versicolor from Jamie and it was a wonderful customer service experience so I've come to trust them, I'm willing to spend a few extra to get it from her. I plan on getting A. Purpurea when I get the G. Rosea from them too. Just gotta wait till wensday to place the order and pray they still have what I want by then XD
