Male or female?

Male or female?

I’m still unclear what I’m looking for. No molt yet, but it hasn’t eaten in a few weeks and is normally a monstrous eater. Hopefully I’ll get a good exuvia soon.
No, follow that straight down, between the book lungs. The dark coloration there, and no obvious furrow. The furrow on these species are so obvious from an early size, I'm fairly positive this is a male.

Ah, right between the first pair of lungs.

Thanks for the help. I’m still trying to learn.

Male. If he matures this molt I have a 9.5" female waiting for him....let's talk. ;)

I believe I have a T. stirmi. It was a freebie labeled only as “Goliath.” The dealer said they thought it was a blondi, but after I got home and did some digging I believe it to be a stirmi. It is certainly not a blondi, though I may have the genus wrong.

@BC1579

A "dealer" sent you a tarantula simply labeled as "Goliath"????? :happy:. I wonder if they know how many species of tarantula are labeled "Goliath" in their common names. That's too laughable. It was very nice of them to send you a freebie. Glad there are folks here on AB that are willing to help out with that sort of thing. :)
