I have seen pictures of the Paraphysa parvula which look like bright gold like that (some here on AB), and then I've seen them a lot darker as well, so not really sure but it's a guess. Seems to be a Euathlus now, Euathlus parvulus
If it was labeled P. scrofa , I'd label it Euathlus sp. (P.scrofa). The one in the other picture could be different. I never said what species it was only that it's a Euathlus species.
If it's a Paraphysa scrofa, best to label it Euathlus sp. (P. scrofa). The hobby Paraphysa scrofa was incorrectly labeled. The real Paraphysa scrofa was moved to Phrixothrichus scrofa. While Paraphysa parvula was moved to Euathlus parvulus. The mislabeled hobby Paraphysa scrofa doesn't fit the Phrixothrichus scrofa description (which I explained in the other post) and it is most likely an unidentified Euathlus species like it's cousin Euathlus parvulus (Paraphysa parvula).
Color doesn't mean much when IDing species from a picture, especially with these guys. Flash, molt cycle, camera and proccesing all play with the color of a T.
In person the size, sex, molt cycle and locality of collection can all make the same species look slightly different. Are their any differences other than color?
