This tarantula was gifted to me, I was told it is a rosehair but noticed it's a lot more active than they typically are, isn't very shy or reclusive at all, it's very very light brown as well as the carapace, and has a large bald spot from flicking. This one seems a lot different from the one I had.
Sorry if it seems dumb that I'm asking, I just want to be sure. I had a male Rosie for 3 years, when I got him he was just 5 ml this away from maturing and had more of a pink color and his behavior was very calm and scared the first few days and would hardly move, this one is climbing around and trying to push the lid off the cage. I guess the behavior just varies from t to t?

It isn't a mature male is it? That would account for the amount of activity. Don't take my word for it, but that doesn't look like a porteri/rosea to me.

Not mature, no pedipalps or tibials. I remember my old T was so active in climbing overnight once he matured so that's why I'm confused with this one... the very light color (possibly premolt???) is throwing me off I'm just not really sure if it's not a g rosea?? I would like to know if anyone can confirm?

Grammostola sp. 'north'/'Northern gold
or
Grammostola sp. maule

Can u take photo with flash?

I still say maule....but north is certainly possible, seems like there was a recent influx of them anyway. Seems to me that the blondness is only on the front legs of a north when I see them.

@Exoskeleton Invertebrates , you have a better grasp on these grammy's than most, what say you?
