I do it for her since she is not that big and I feel more comfortable and I think it's safer but it's just my opinion lol have had her for some time grew super attached to her that I don't want nothing happening To her
@Jorgez44 Get her a shallow waterdish. As long as your enclosure isn't too tall and the waterdish isn't near a wall so she can't fall on it, it's perfectly safe. It's even disputable that they can use these sponges as a source of hydration. For all you know, she wasn't able to drink properly since you gave her the sponge. I have personally seen tarantulas enjoy a nice long drink. If you're apprehensive, get her one that is no bigger than her legspan. She won't drown, I promise!
