ID? Largest mantis I've seen in person!

About 4.5" from head to tip of the wing. Found in Taichung, Taiwan on the way to a store, lol. Huge! Anyone have an ID for this giant?
Tenodera sinensis - the Chinese Mantis - is my guess. One of the largest in the world. If they have an orange square on the inside of their 'arms' - that is them.

Wow awesome thanks guys! I'm gonna have to look into keeping this species when I get back.:) What deterred me from mantises is the short lifespan most have.

They have been introduced to the U.S. accidentally and are considered extremely invasive. I know that people have them in the U.S., but they might be illegal in some places.
And sorry, I made a mistake. If they have a yellow square on their inner arms, that is a Chinese mantis.

According to this, if I'm reading it correctly, any insect that has been released or introduced into California for biological pest control can be kept and shipped within and into California. http://pi.cdfa.ca.gov/pqm/manual/pdf/111.pdf To my understanding, this species is sometimes sold at garden centers for biological pest control in gardens? So if I'm reading everything correctly, it should be legal to get one when I get back.:astonished:

If they have been introduced for pest control and not just accidentally, the I think the answer is yes. :)
