@PidderPeets It was my first identification too. However, when I checked the checklist of Philippine spiders, there were no Heteropoda venatoria, moreover, there are three Heteropoda species namely: H. cyperusiria, H. garciai and H. gemella. But when I looked to the pictures available in the internet, these three Heteropoda species are very different in their morphology just basing on the picture.
@Ivan Cris Unfortunately, I can't find any images of the 3 native species you mentioned. The H. venatoria isn't native to the Phillipines, but it was introduced, likely by importation of goods from other countries.
