Is this an h. maculata the place I got it from somehow mixed up their tags and they thought this was the h Mac. Also does it look male coloring or are all juveniles that color? Thanks
Not sure of the difference, but it looks like either an H. mac or and S. cal. I believe that most juvies look like that and the females get their bright coloration at 3-4"+. About what size is it? Not quite sure, but either way you have quite the handful with that T ;) Just entered the African arboreals too, so good luck with it!

Thanks. So far it's been good. I would guess it's around 2 inches right now. My father in law has several new worlds and I took the dive into the old world. I have the Mac and a Lampropelma sp. Borneo Black

More like an S.calceatum I have two H.macs they are all grey in color unlike that more like brownish coloration.

I'm leaning H. mac, I believe the lighting is giving it more of an S. cal coloration. At that size, easiest way to tell them apart is the ventral(underside). H. macs have the same color ventral as their dorsal(topside). S. cals have a solid black ventral...

Going out on a limb and saying S.Calceatum. It looks just like my 2.5" female
