Exploration Mode (♀ Psalmopoeus cambridgei 3")

Squirt, my 3" female Psalmopoeus cambridgei, decided to go for a stroll.
Great photo I have 1 a bit smaller In route as I type this can't wait to see her this afternoon

@Aaron M They are a fun species. Mine has built a two-story dirt curtain with a top and bottom entrance. The top entrance looks kind of like the crater of a volcano, and she's often sticking her feet out the top (so cute) or all the way out right above.

After this picture, she was back in her retreat, and all of her legs were sticking out of the bottom entrance, like she was in hunting mode. So I opened the door to feed her, but she spooked at the movement and retreated. I dropped the roach on its back where her legs had been. I didn't even see her legs come out to grab; the roach was just sucked into the retreat under the dirt curtain.

@cold blood because I bought her from him, and he requested updates.

@Ungoliant a few of my p irmenia juvi snatch prey through their little dirt curtains I see a little wave travel down the dirt curtain and then the prey almost looks as if a lion fish has sucked it in and it goes still love these guys my new p Cambridgei arrived safe and sound. I love the light green hues in her beautiful T's
