Euoplos turrificus
My girl appears to be a lefty like me. While burrowing to approximately 12cm, her excess substrate balls have been thrown out of her home and mostly to one side. Some have left their splatter on the ceiling 5cm above her turret.

Circled in red... leftovers out the door.
@RezonantVoid , i mentioned to you that I would check on her meal leftovers when I arrived home from work this morning. Circled in red is a spitbolus out with the rest of the mess. She likes to keep her home neat.

Yea lol I guess that confirms my theory that they do indeed launch their leftovers from the palisade lol. It's good they adjust well to living in peat as long as they have their trusty tube

This palisade looks slightly different to mine, it has those curved lines all across the lid whereas mine has planted moss on the top

@RezonantVoid, the substrate that mine is in is approx 50% coir peat: 30% Bentonite (clay kitty litter): 20% red desert sand. I then covered it with a little coir peat and spagnum moss. She has trippled the length of her turret and built a nice chamber at the bottom which she can turn around easily in. I set her turret on a bit of a slope (16 cm at one end 9cm at the other) in a new Kmart container. Looking down the turret, it seems to hold well (just not as nice looking as the red clay that her turret is made from).

I believe we got them from the same good bloke. I found him through a different source to Arachnoboards. He definitely looks after you even though there are tough times at the moment.
