The moult is fine, but you need to spread it further apart between the upper book lungs. And try to dry it up, a q-tip works fine for that. And then try to get a sharp picture of the area between the upper book lungs, not the whole moult.

Looks male to me. As @Thekla said, spread the first pair of book lungs apart. If you find a flap there, it's a female. If it's still smooth, then it's male.

Where are the book lungs, sorry that I sound like an idiot but I'm trying to learn about T's so I can get into the hobby.

@MrGhostMantis The book lungs are the white patches in this picture. Tarantulas have two pairs of book lungs located on the underside of their abdomens. Look around here: http://arachnoboards.com/gallery/categories/epiandrous-fusillae-sexing-not-molts.9/
