As someone who has always has avoided new world species because of the urticating hairs - this makes me incredibly envious. Though I hear some new worlds will not flick hairs but rather they're there if a predator touches them?
@Ciri C. versicolor and the Avicularia sp. have to physically make contact with you to get you with their urticating hairs. So just don't handle. Now, get yourself one of these precious floofs!
@RezonantVoid Floof Alert Level - MAXIMUM FLOOF ENGAGED. This is so going to be my next tarantula. I love this color pattern. Is care trickier than some of the more hardier genera like Brachys?
@Androxian this color pattern is rare to me, and she was quite big for a versicolor too. About the care, like @arachnidgill said, its not easy as long as you make your research on them.
