@BZeni I personally use the scorpion light as a viewing aid not recommended for long periods.
Looks cool and easy to spot them at night this h spinifer is very shy any white light she goes into hiding straight away the UV is a godsend.
Yea like OP I only use black light for short viewing periods, like less than 10 seconds normally. Idk if it's just an Australian scorpion thing but every species I have gets really annoyed by UV lights and will flee even if my white lights are turned off
