C cyaneopubescens concern
I just purchased a roughly 2.5 inch or so GBB from a local reptile shop. The T was power fed where I got it from, so I let it settle for two days before throwing in food. A bit later I come home and notice the cricket hasn’t been touched, and that her fangs are red? Something I need to worry about?
Looks like she has molted recently. When tarantula's molt they're fangs go from white to red to black. Take the cricket out immediately as it can harm your GBB while it is vulnerable from its recent molt. When its fangs turn black it will be safe to feed him/her.

@Derivative the cricket is indeed dead but yeah I took it out just now. The keeper said she molted recently but wasn’t sure how recent so that makes sense. I’ve never seen red fangs like that so it freaked me out lmao

Yeah it is definitely scary seeing your tarantula with red fangs for the first time. GBB's are cool tarantulas.

@Derivative one more question, how long should I wait before trying to feed? I’m gonna put her at 1 week after molt but don’t wanna bother her so often to check her fangs.
