@boina I thought you'd be interested in this. This particular spider actually had genuine parasitic mites that bothered her quite a bit, and I was always worried they would muck up her molt since they penetrate through the exoskeleton. Anyway not only did she molt fine but managed to ditch all the mites in the process. Found them on the molt panacking while running at a whopping half a millimetre per second, and from what I can tell she is completely mite free
@Nightstalker47 I think I have a few already uploaded somewhere, I was kinda in a rush to leave for work so didn't get any pics. They are basically shaped exactly like a tiny corn kernel and yellow in colour with lots of very short legs
@Nightstalker47 forget that, apparently I hadn't uploaded one afterall. Here is an older pic I took of them at night
They were never around her mouth or fangs which is typical of the average hitchhiker mites, only around the leg and abdominal joints. The fact that they occasionally switched spots lead me to believe that they could have at any point gone to her mouth but instead chose to suck around her joints
Quick update, came back from work and got a better look, seems the adult mites found a way back into her unfortunately. She still shed off a good 20 or so, I think there are 5 large ones left that I'll pick off with tweezers when she's hardened
