Hi guys, my friend gave me her tarantula and never told me what he was and now I would like to know. Also his cage keeps fogging up and I'm not sure what to do.
Looks like Grammostola porteri to me, granted, I'm still a baby in the hobby and might be quite wrong.

As far as the enclosure fogging up, if you create a new thread in one of the tarantula forums and include pictures of the full enclosure alone with your question about the condensation, people will be more than happy to help you out.

EDIT: the more I look at it, the more I think I'm wrong..

I think its Brachypelma albopilosum.

The condensation is from poor ventilation. Stuffy cages arent good for Ts. The substrate may not be helping things. Is that moist clay?

I say Brachypelma Albopilosum. If the enclose keeps fogging try adding more ventilation and let the substrate dry out a bit. You only need to over flow the water dish a little for these guys . I use a mix of Coco fiber and peat moss for substrate.
